We’ve had the utter pleasure of hosting F.T.F. Performance Mobile Dyno over at Dead Freddies for Bikes to the Beach every event since our very first! We’re gonna have Chuck and his skills back for another bike week full of roaring engines and crowds gathered at his dyno to see just how much power their bikes are really putting out!
Anyone who’s visited us at Dead Freddies and had their motorcycle tested and tuned by Chuck know that he is hands-down the best in the region. His mobile dyno gets TONS of work all throughout bike week. I can’t tell you amount of times I see someone a little disappointed about their original dyno readings and after a few tips and suggestions from Chuck, walk away with a smile on their face and new knowledge of how to safely, effectively, and properly add power to their bike. On top of being the regions leader and the best dyno at bike week, the F.T.F. Performance rig is the cleanest, most professional and state-of-the-art you’ll ever see.
“Throttle-City Inc. is widely regarded as the Philadelphia areas #1 fuel injection tuning center! Equipped with two state-of-the-art DynoJet 250i load control dynos and the latest real time data acquisition software. Our decade plus of EFI mapping experience combined with Tuning Center acknowledgment from all major product manufactures ensure every bike is tuned to perfection! ”
When you’re making your plans for Fall Bikes to the Beach 2013, September 12-15, throw in some time to get your bikes tested and tuned! Check out the Throttle City F.T.F Performance website and really get to know the quality and skilled work we’ll have doing your dynos!
Next week, we’ll be featuring even more for you to look forward to when you party with us at Dead Freddies for Fall Bikes to the Beach 2013!
This week’s Friday Feature goes back to the ladies of Maiden’s Choice WMC. I’ve had the honor of speaking to Blaze more in depth about what Maiden’s Choice is really about and I wanted to share that with you all. The spirit of giving lives within Maiden’s Choice WMC and Delmarva would be a very different place without them.
Some motorcycle clubs are often started for the sheer fun of the ride. This is not the case for Maiden’s Choice WMC. When Maiden’s Choice WMC begun in 2011, the two women who actually created the club knew that they wanted so much more out of their M/C. Once becoming established in 2011 Maiden’s Choice adopted their very first Christmas family, only two months after the club began. “What a rewarding feeling knowing we could help someone less fortunate than anyone of else,” said Gidget, the clubs Secretary. Then the club in January placed several charitiey names into a hat and the winner was drawn, how lucky was the Casey Cares Foundation. For 2012 the club worked hard doing fundraisers and selling pretzels to gather up some of the funds. Soliciting the residents of Essex at the Essex Day Festival and collecting donations pushed it to the nice amount of $2000.00. That check was presented to the Casey Cares Foundation the very first year. Maiden’s Choice has not missed a stride in their charity work. In fact they are very proud to say that they have just been given a non-profit status through the I.R.S for their efforts involving charities.
Again this year the club once again picked the Casey Cares Foundation as their charity. The club has learned to include the charity in every event that they do no matter how small. It may only be a portion of the proceeds or it may often be the entire amount raised that goes to charity.
Some of the events that the group has coming up is their yearly Christmas Raffle. This raffle actually raises funds to put the ladies whom want to learn to ride and get their motorcycle license through the MVA classes. This is a way that the club pays back to it’s members and encouraes woman to learn to ride. The tickets are only a dollar each and the winner need not be present to win. You may win a $300.00 or a $700.00 cash award. The drawing will be held December 7, 2013 on the clubs bus trip to New York City. New York City at the holidays is a beautiful thing. You can see the big Christmas tree, the Rockets, the stores dressed in holiday decor and so much more. If you have never gone to this busy city for Christmas, take the trip. New York is 55.00 pp and you may call Lisa 410-905-8010 at any time to reserve. Fun and games always on the bus.
August 3, 2013 the club is hosting a car/bike wash at the Saint James Lutheran Church at 8 West Overlea Ave, Baltimore 21206. Get your bike or car washed for a donation. A portion of the donation will go to the Casey Cares Foundation and also will be given to the church. The event is from 11 to 3pm. You may also find raffles and refreshments available.
August 15, 2013 from 5 to 9 pm go meet some of the Maiden’s at the Three Brothers Restaurant at 3611 Washington Blvd. and enjoy the good food. 20% of the store sales will go to Casey Cares, and you must present a flyer for it to benefit Casey Cares.
September 15, 2013 again come to the Essex Day Festival where the Maiden’s will be vending. You may get a supporter shirt, a patch, a raffle ticket, order Yankie Candles, make a donation to Casey Cares or simple enjoy the Maiden’s good company. The Yankie Candle sales in its entiety goes toward helping Cases Cares.
September 21, 2013 the Maiden’s are holding this date open and hopefully will be introducing the event real soon. Details to follow.
October 22, 2013 the Maiden’s will be at the White Marsh Mall, Boscov’s store for their appreciation day. The Maiden’s are selling tickets for the event at 5.00 per ticket and it gives you up to 25% off a purchase, enters you into raffles and offers you free refreshments. The club has these tickets for purchase now. Again a portion will go to the Cases Cares Foundtaion.
The club also does other numerious public service events including parades, Opertion Welcome Home, the adopt a road program through Baltimore County, various fundraisers, etc. You never know where Maiden’s Choice WMC Inc. may turn up.
Keep a check on the clubs face book page or the website at www.maidenschoicewmc.com for all additional events or information on the club.
I had the honor of photographing these beautiful women on the first day of them wearing their new colors. I could tell it was a special occasion and I was happy to be a part of it. It was a breezy and warm Saturday afternoon and the ladies were hilarious to be around and were cool as can be!
It’s best to hear about the heart of a club from someone in it. Here is what Sin Sister and President, Diablo Girl had to say.
SIN SISTERS WMC WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2013 BY A GROUP OF LADIES WHO WANTED TO ENJOY THE LIFE OF MOTORCYCLING & TRUE SISTERHOOD.
OUR GROUP HAILS FROM IN AND AROUND BALTIMORE , MD.
OUR COLORS ARE RED & BLACK WHICH REPRESENT STRENGTH, POWER, ELEGANCE AND MYSTERY. OUR CENTER PATCH SYMBOLIZES OUR STRENGTH AND INTEGRITY AND SHOWS THAT WE ARE NOT AFRAID TO BE DIFFERENT.
WE ARE AN ALL LADIES CLUB, “OLD SKOOL” IN OUR WAYS; YOU MUST OWN AND OPERATE A MOTORCYCLE; WE ARE NOT “PRETTY GIRL” CLUB; WE RIDE HARD, PARTY HARD AND DEAL WITH HELMET HAIR!! YOU WONT FIND US CHECKING OUR MAKE UP IN THE MIRRORS.
SIN SISTERS REQUIREMENTS ARE ONLY THAT YOU DISPLAY A DESIRE TO RIDE, BE TRUSTWORTHY, RESPECTFUL TOWARD ALL OUR OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND HAVE THIS SISTERHOOD BE AN ADDITION TO YOUR ALREADY EXISTING FAMILY.
JUST LIKE WITH ALL CLUBS, WE DO HAVE A HANG AROUND AND PROSPECT PERIOD WHICH IS PUT IN PLACE FOR ALL OF US TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER. OUR LIFESTYLE IS NOT MEANT FOR EVERYONE AND MAY COME EASY FOR SOME AND NOT SO EASY FOR OTHERS. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT WE ARE MORE INTERESTED IN THE QUALITY OF OUR MEMBERS THEN QUANTITY! WE ARE NOT IN THIS FOR FAME, WERE IN IT BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN IT!!
IT’S NOT JUST A CLUB ITS OUR FAMILY!
WE STRIVE TO FORGE AN EVERLASTING SISTERHOOD BETWEEN ALL OUR MEMBERS, WE ARE HERE TO HELP EACH OTHER IN THE GOOD TIMES AND BAD TIMES. OUR GOALS ARE TO RIDE, HELP THOSE IN NEED, AND HAVE FUN!
